The Lord’s love!

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.  The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

Psalm 103:13 – 18

God knows exactly how we are formed, each one of us, no matter what tribe or nation!  He formed us, so he knows us entirely, and knows full well that we need so He has compassion on us. Like a father has compassion on his struggling son or daughter.

The lesson God wishes us to learn is clear, the Lord’s love is with those who fear him.  Our responsibility is to fear him!  Not dread not, but hope.  Fearing God is to know his power and love.

Did we catch the marvel of God’s promise?  The Lord’s love is with those who fear him.  Our part is to recognize our hopelessness without God’s mercy and grace.  Then, the love of the Lord flows into our lives and out to others.
