Anna Ruth makes the best bread in the whole wide world – has been doing it for years now. It is Tuesday, a favorite day for her to knead, press and generally feel the bread dough, encouraging it to rise and be a health food for our table. My wee contribution is slicing the four loaves as they cool, a deed I thoroughly enjoyed as the sun was setting today. Anna Ruth, bless her, took the picture! Unlike her.

Jeepers, that looks like the same white bread slicer holder I used a few yrs back when I – for a spell – got the idea to make bread….though, admittedly used the “store prepared” box and it was fun while it lasted, but like some of my endeavors….sadly gave it up. But my mouth is watering as I even think about home made bread. Nothing better…..except the devotional thoughts you are led to post. Blessings on the Jacobs.

You had the proper jeepers, Gene. I think it was an old fashioned thing. I enjoy using it. Anna Ruth applies 98% of the work – I get the fun of cutting it, probably because I work around tools in my shop. So good to hear from you. We push on, bravely with thanksgiving and hope. The clock moves in only one direction, a challenge but also a hope. We are enjoying life together here beside our daughter and son-in-law. So far so good. We have plenty to keep us us busy with a nice chunk of time left over just for fun! Hope you are well over there. We think of you with many fond memories and always a prayer for your welfare.
Right now for a hobby I am digitizing all my old pictures so they can be available to the next generation/s. Fun. In the meanwhile I slip out into my shop and make something, just to keep the juices flowing that needs to create.
