Who can be against us?

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Romans 8:31

Today’s Daily Light concentrates on the Old Testament promises and history of the way God never did flee from his chosen people, but was committed to them and their welfare with intensity. Lovely promises of God!

Then, the last verse of the day is from Romans, a precious New Testament book.  It acts, in a way, as a summary of what God has done and is doing and the promise that is open to all who would believe.

Those who stand with God are not only safe, but prosperous in their faith.

It all begins with the assertion that God is for us. Is there a greater promise?  I think not.

May the will and ways of God dominate my thinking today, the day when we move our main working office upstairs!
