For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.
I Timothy 2:5
Now and again our cultures consider the question, what shall we do with Jesus? I suppose the ultimate question is, who is Jesus and what does that mean for me? It is now Thursday before Easter, when such questions arise but are not often expressed. The burning of Notre Dame focuses the issue for many.
This is a bit strange because it is the most important question that can or should be asked for now, for all eternity and the only question worth considering as we ponder the grace of God.
Is this true? Or are there reservations, different ways to look at how God seeks to redeem us? I am convinced as the case with all us believers the Jesus is the Way.
So, at this precious time we bow our hearts in deep gratitude to the Lord for saving each of us. We do not find it useful or edifying trying to figure out if there is another way. Consider the events we now bring to mind with power and conviction, Jesus is God incarnate, He died to save us all and is now in glory interceding for us. He is one and only.
I embrace Him anew like all believers on earth. Happy and Blessed Easter!
