Our milkweed is hosting a family of milkweed beetles.  In this shot we see several stages of development from wee reddish ones, those changing into the adult configuration and some in between like the blue fellows.  Each is gorged with toxic milkweed sap or juice which make them nasty-tasting to most if not all predators.
